Godefroid Mukeng'a Kalond CICM (born August 31, 1930 in Tshibingu-Mukese ) is a Congolese religious and Roman Catholic senior archbishop of Kananga .

Life

Godefroid Mukeng'a Kalond joined the religious community of Scheut missionaries and was ordained a priest on March 2, 1958 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Luiza on August 30, 1971 . The episcopal ordination donated him to the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Agnelo Rossi , the same year on December 5; Co - consecrators were Martin-Léonard Bakole wa Ilunga , Archbishop of Luluabourg , and François Kabangu wa Mutela , Bishop of Luebo .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Kananga on March 3, 1997. On May 3, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
