The Goethestrasse 27 building is a listed residential building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the north side of Goethestrasse in Magdeburg's Stadtfeld Ost district . Goethestrasse 26 , which is also a listed building, is adjacent to the east and Goethestrasse 28 to the west. The building is part of the Goethestrasse 22-28 monument area as a single monument .
Architecture and history
The three-storey plastered building was built in 1902 for Ernst Freysold Schmelzer . The facade of the representative house built in the neo-renaissance style is dominated by a central box bay window . The bay window is crowned by a tail gable. The two eastern axes are formed on the two upper floors by balconies reminiscent of loggias , each spanned by a segment arch. The entrance portal is located in these axes on the ground floor.
In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 81757 .
As part of the Wilhelminian style development on the Goetheanlage, the building is considered significant in terms of urban development.
