The gold fleabane ( Erigeron aureus ) is a plant from the family of the daisy family (Asteraceae).
description
The Gold Fleabane is a short-lived perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 2 to 15 (20) centimeters. The plant is short-haired and forms a Pleiokorm root . Most of the leaves are arranged in a rosette. The basal leaf blade measures 15 to 60 × 3 to 13 millimeters and is obverse-shaped. The approximately 3 stem leaves are small. The heads are single and 2 to 5 centimeters in diameter. The ray-flowers are pale yellow to yellow and 1.4 to 2.5 millimeters wide.
The flowering period extends from June to August.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 18.
Occurrence
The gold fleabane occurs in the north-west of the USA and in south-west Canada on alpine rock corridors.

The gold fleabane is rarely used as an ornamental plant for rock gardens.
