Golden Valley is a census-designated place in Mohave County in the US state of Arizona . At the 2010 census, Golden Valley had 8,370 inhabitants. Near the city is the intersection of Arizona State Route 68 with US Highway 93 .

Golden Valley is located in the Sacramento Valley and is separated from the larger neighboring cities of Kingman and Bullhead City by the surrounding mountains . The Arizona State Route 68 runs as the main road through the center of Golden Valley and connects the three cities mentioned. US Highway 93 connects Golden Valley south with Kingman and with Las Vegas , Nevada to the north.
Golden Valley's geographic coordinates are 35 ° 13 ′ N , 114 ° 13 ′ W (35.223016, −114.214988). According to the United States Census Bureau , the CDP covers an area of 72.6 km², excluding land.
The Golden Valley is drained by Cerbat Wash , Thirteenmile Wash and some other unnamed only periodically water-bearing watercourses.
Demographics
At the time of the United States Census 2000, the Golden Valley was inhabited by 4515 people. The population density was 62.1 people per km ². There were 2175 housing units at an average of 29.9 per km ². The Golden Valley population was 94.00% White , 0.51% Black or African American , 0.95% Native American , 0.73% Asian , 0.16% Pacific Islander , 1.82% said belonging to other races and 1.84% named two or more races. 8.04% of the population declared to be Hispanic or Latino of any race.
The residents of Golden Valley were distributed to 1,822 households out of which 23.3% were living in children under the age of 18. 57.1% of households were married, 9.1% had a female head of the household without a husband and 29.3% were not families. 22.6% of households were made up of individuals and someone lived in 9.1% of all households aged 65 years or older.
