The Goldstream peak is around 2800 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . In the La Gorce Mountains it looms at the junction of the ridges of Mount Gjertsen , Mount Grier and Johansen Peak .
A team from Arizona State University led by geologist Edmund Stump (* 1946) carried out a geological survey of this mountain between 1980 and 1981 as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program . Its name is derived from gold shimmering inclusions in the form of a winding band on the western flank of the mountain.
