Gong Seung-yeon (born February 27, 1993 in Seoul ) is a South Korean actress .

life and career

Gong Seung-yeon was born as Yoo Seung-yeon ( 유승연 ) in 1993 and has two sisters, including the singer Jeongyeon of the girl group Twice . Her father worked as a cook for the former President of South Korea Kim Dae-jung, among others .

From 2005 she was a trainee for the agency at SM Entertainment , but after seven years of training she lost interest in singing and turned to acting. She made her breakthrough in 2015 with her portrayal of Queen Wongyeong in the historical K-drama Six Flying Dragons .
