Gonzalo Maulella , full name Gonzalo Matías Maulella Rodríguez , (born July 6, 1984 in Paysandú ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
The 1.82-meter-tall defensive player Maulella belonged to the Montevideo- based club Defensor Sporting from the Apertura 2003, in which he played a first division game (no goal), to the Clausura 2008 . In the Clausura 2007 there are another five (no goal) first division appearances for him. In the 2007/08 season, his team won the Uruguayan championship. In the 2008/09 season he was in the ranks of the first division club Central Español . He was used eleven times (no goal) in the league. This was followed by a career station at the Guatemalan club Municipal, which ended in August 2011 . In the 2011/12 season he played 24 games in the Primera División as a player for Club Atlético Rentistas . He didn't score a goal. In July 2012 he joined the Paraguayan club Sportivo Luqueño . In 2012 and 2013 he was used there in 37 first division matches. At the beginning of 2014, he started working for Real Garcilaso in Peru . At the club from the southern Peruvian city of Cusco , he was used 27 times (one goal) in the Primera División , ten times (three goals) in the Copa Inca and six times (no goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2014 . At the beginning of January 2015, he switched to Ayacucho . There he played five games (one goal) in the Copa Inca. At the beginning of 2016, he joined Defensor La Bocana and was used in 33 top division games (one goal). At the end of January 2017, he returned to Defensor Sporting, the club from the early days of his career, and so far (as of August 26, 2017) he has played twelve first division games (no goal) and one game (no goal) in the Copa Sudamericana 2017 for the Montevideans .
