Goodbye (also Goodbye Cream ) is the fourth album by the blues-rock group Cream . It consists of three studio and three live recordings. It peaked at number 2 on the United States' Billboard 200 and was the only album by the band to rank first in the UK. The decoupled single badge reached number 18 there.
Emergence
After the end of the group was in sight, Ginger Baker , Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton decided to go on a farewell tour in October and November 1968 and produce one last album, Goodbye . Three live recordings of the October 19, 1968 concert at The Forum , Los Angeles were used for this album , I'm so Glad from the debut album, Politician from Wheels of Fire and the blues classic Sitting on Top of the World, arranged by Chester Burnett . There were also three studio recordings, one each written by Baker, Bruce and Clapton. The album was released in March 1969, four months after the band split up.
