Live Cream Live Cream Volume II -

Live Cream Volume II is the blues-rock group Cream's second live album from 1972. It was released several years after the band split up and reached number 27 on the Billboard 200 in the United States and number 15 in the UK.

Emergence

As with the previous album Live Cream , live recordings from the concerts in Winterland in March 1968 were used for the Wheels of Fire album. Three of the titles were recorded at Oakland Coliseum Arena , Oakland on October 4, 1968, the start of Cream's farewell tour.

reception

Although the album contained live versions of two of the band's most famous tracks, White Room and Sunshine of Your Love , it was not as successful in the charts as its predecessor. Allmusic's Matthew Greenwald and Bruce Eder say the album shows the band performing at their peak, but not at the best moments of that peak.
