The Goodge Col is an icy, incline-free and around 2.5 km wide mountain pass in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It runs at an altitude of 3600 m between the south side of Mount Shinn and the Vinson massif in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2006 after the US geoscientist John W. Goodge (* 1958) from the University of Minnesota , who conducted research into the development of the East Antarctic Ice Sheet between the mid-1980s and 2006 as part of the United States Antarctic Program had carried out.
