Gottfried Bähr

Gottfried Bähr (born March 4, 1939 in Munich ; † March 20, 2007 ) was a German businessman and political scientist .

He graduated from the University of Erlangen with a degree in business administration in 1967 . He worked there from 1971 to 1975.

In 1972 he obtained the doctorate to Dr. rer. pole. He became a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) in 1973 and received the Mitchel B. Carrol Prize. At the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich , he taught auditing and accounting, taxation and business finance at the Institute for Controlling .

After passing his exam, he was able to work as a tax consultant from 1975. As a chartered accountant, he was appointed auditor in 1991 after graduating.

He also worked as a consultant at the Bavarian State Ministry for Economics, Transport and Technology. He also taught as a lecturer at the Administration and Business Academy in Munich. He co-founded the Institute for Applied Economic Research in Munich.
