Gottfried Gusenbauer (born April 11, 1968 in Linz ) is an Austrian publisher and director of the Krems Caricature Museum since 2012 .

Life

Gottfried Gusenbauer grew up in Tragwein in the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria . From 1982 to 1987 he completed the HTL in Waidhofen an der Ybbs , specializing in electrical engineering . He studied business informatics for a few semesters , but decided on an artistic career as a member of the production team (camera and editing) for various film, theater and art projects. From 1995 Gusenbauer was responsible for the media studios in the Open House of Culture in Linz and teaches video at the University of Artistic and Industrial Design in Linz and storyboard at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences .

He is a member of the Linz artists' association MAERZ . Gusenbauer has been intensively involved with the Austrian drawing scene since 2000. Together with his wife Sibylle Gusenbauer he founded the art association lin-c for comics and illustrated literature and acted as editor of the comic magazine of the same name (3 issues from 2005 to 2007). As part of Linz's European Capital of Culture 2009, he designed the international Nextcomic Festival .

From 2009 to 2012 Gottfried Gusenbauer directed and programmed the Nextcomic Festival. From 2013 he worked as a program adviser at Nextcomic.

Gusenbauer has been director of the Krems Caricature Museum since 2012 .
