Gottfried Seven

Gottfried Sieben (born March 16, 1856 in Stockerau , † May 30, 1918 in Vienna ), pseudonym Archibald Smith , was an Austrian painter , writer and illustrator of numerous newspapers , magazines and erotica . His father, Johann Kaspar Gottfried Sieben, was a fairer and mayor of Stockerau. The mother, Theresia Schaumann, was the daughter of Johann and Theresia Schaumann (puke manufacturer).

Seven was a student at the Imperial and Royal Vienna Academy . From 1880 he drew for the satirical weekly newspaper Der Floh and then for the Viennese caricatures . From 1881 he published city maps and drawings of current events in Austria-Hungary in illustrated newspapers. In 1888 he made a trip to Russia and the Caucasus. He also worked in various newspapers and magazines, for example the Wiener Tageblatt , the Elegante Welt and Tritsch-Tratsch . The wall paintings in the Vienna Animal Welfare Association also come from seven. He published his monographs mainly in the Gustav Grimm publishing house , Budapest.
