Gottlieb Friedrich Christian von Werlhof
Gottlieb Friedrich Christian von Werlhof (born April 30, 1772 in Hanover , † June 5, 1842 in Göttingen ) was a German administrative lawyer.
Life
Gottlieb Friedrich Christian von Werlhof was the eldest son (of eleven children) of the judge Wilhelm Gottfried von Werlhof . The lawyer Ernst August von Werlhof was one of his younger brothers. Werlhof studied law at the University of Göttingen from 1789 and is documented as a member of the Order of Unitists during his studies . In 1792 he became an auditor in Celle . From 1795 he worked as a judge at the Court Court of Celle and from 1797 at the same time in the law firm of Celle. During the French era he was president of the Celle district tribunal and after its end was again taken over as court and chancellery advisor in the Celle law firm. In 1817 he was transferred to the newly established law firm in Göttingen and in 1820 acquired the Michaelishaus , where he lived until his death. In 1823 he became director of the Pupillenkollegium associated with the Göttingen judicial office and in 1832 he became the director of the Göttingen judicial office. In 1839 he became an extraordinary member of the Hanover State Council .
Werlhof married Charlotte Catharina Soest (1767–1842) in 1806. The marriage resulted in two sons, including August Carl Ernst von Werlhof .
