Gottlob Friedrich Riekert , later of Riekert (* 21st October 1841 in Lustnau ; † the 30th September 1900 in Ludwigsburg ) was a German Councilor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Riekert attended high school in Tübingen. He studied law and political science at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen from 1860 to 1865 and became a member of the student union Landsmannschaft Scotland . In 1868 he joined the Württemberg administration as an unskilled worker at the Royal Central Office for Trade and Commerce. Between 1870 and 1872 he was second civil servant at the Heilbronn Oberamt and first secretary in 1873 and from 1874 government assessor at the Württemberg State Ministry of the Interior. At the same time, he was a member of the supervisory commission for the state hospitals and, as its administrative officer, from 1873 to 1877 he was involved in the new organization of state insane welfare in Württemberg. From 1878 he was government councilor for the Danube district in Ulm .

From 1881 to 1882 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 14 ( Ulm , Heidenheim , Geislingen ). He joined the faction of the German Reich Party in the Reichstag . On June 7, 1882, the election was declared invalid. The candidate of the People's Party won the election that had become necessary .

On March 4, 1893, he was appointed a member of the First Chamber of Württemberg for life .

Honors

Gottlob Friedrich Riekert was awarded the Knight of Honor Cross of the Order of the Württemberg Crown and the Commentary Cross of the Frederick Order.
