Al-Jauf ( Arabic الجوف, DMG al-Ǧauf , also al-Jawf , Al Jawf ) is one of the 21 governorates of Yemen . It is in the north of the country.
Al-Jauf has an area of 30,620 km² and around 534,408 inhabitants. This results in a population density of 17.5 inhabitants per km².
