al-Hudaida ( Arabic الحديدة, DMG al-Ḥudaida ) is one of the 21 governorates of Yemen .

Al-Hudaida is located in the west of the country on the Red Sea coast . The Hanisch Islands in the Red Sea belong to the governorate. They are the southernmost land mass in the governorate.
al-Hudaida has an area of 17,509 km² and around 2,687,674 inhabitants. This results in a population density of 153.5 inhabitants per km².
