Ta'izz ( Arabic تعز, DMG Taʿizz ) is one of the 21 governorates of Yemen . It is in the south of the country.
Ta'izz has an area of 12,605 km² and around 2,817,696 inhabitants. This results in a population density of 223.5 inhabitants per km². Ta'izz Airport , which offers both national and international flight connections, provides an important transport link in the province .
