Gozpel (bourgeois Justus Ninnemann ; * 1989 in Berlin-Steglitz ) is a German rapper who gained notable fame primarily through his participation in rap on Wednesday .

Life

Ninnemann grew up in the German capital near Hermann-Ehlers-Platz. In his spare time he listened to English-language and predominantly German hip-hop music from Kool Savas , KIZ and Die Sekte, among others . In addition to many good performances and a high degree of popularity at school, he gained his first live experience there at internal events with beatbox accompaniment as a middle school student. After graduating, he began to study biochemistry , but kept rapping as a hobby.

The beginning of his musical career is marked by joining the hip-hop crew Tenthclassic in 2011, followed from December 2013 by numerous appearances at the Cypher von Rap on Wednesday and participation in their Battlerap tournaments, through which he was able to win over his first fans and gained notoriety within the scene. In November 2014, at the age of 24, he released his debut album Sympathoz on the Defenda Records ( Universal Music ) label .

style

His style is based on artistic transgressions, with which he first came into contact when he heard Kool Savas ' song The Judgment on the radio. It made him wonder whether it wasn't going too far to publicly expose someone so ruthlessly. He also likes to rap with a charming mix of light-footedness and irony and often uses contradicting humor and seriousness.
