Grégory Carraz (born April 9, 1975 in Bourgoin-Jallieu ) is a former French tennis player .

Career

Carraz won seven Challenger titles in his career : two in singles and five more in doubles. He was denied comparable successes on the ATP World Tour , even though he made it to the finals of the doubles competition in Newport in 2004 . He lost this on the side of Nicolas Mahut against Jordan Kerr and Jim Thomas in three sets. He reached his highest place in the world rankings on March 1, 2004 in singles with position 54 and on September 13, 2004 in doubles with position 122.

At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , Carraz represented his country in the individual competition. In the opening round he was narrowly defeated by the Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis with 7: 5, 6: 7, 5 , 5: 7.
