The house Gröpern 11 is a listed building in Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

The building, registered in the Quedlinburg monument register as a farm bourgeoisie, is located north of the Quedlinburg old town on the west side of the street Gröpern . It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . The building, which is also listed, borders on Gröpern 10 to the south .

Architecture and history

The two-storey house was built in 1665 according to an inscription on the building. The abbreviation AS and a hatchet refer to the carpenter Andreas Schröder as the master builder . While the upper floor was built as a half-timbered construction, the ground floor is a massive construction. On the north side of the courtyard there is also a half-timbered building wing.

Originally, groups 10 and 11 could already have formed a unit. However, at the end of the 20th century, the plots were separated. At the beginning of the 21st century, the properties were redeveloped and merged.
