The house Gröpern 10 is a listed building in Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

The building, which is registered in the Quedlinburg monument register as an agricultural citizen's farm, is located north of the Quedlinburg old town on the west side of the street Gröpern . It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . To the north is the also listed building Gröpern 11 .

Architecture and history

The courtyard was divided into a northern and a southern part. The northern part was older and was built around 1700. The upper floor was built in half-timbered construction and consisted of five containers . A baroque bevel on the threshold was remarkable . In addition, there was a parapet strut . In the southern, younger part there was a gate passage as well as a house entrance and utility area. The southern part and the basement of the northern part of the building were renovated in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Originally, groups 10 and 11 could already have formed a unit. However, at the end of the 20th century, the plots were separated. At the beginning of the 21st century, the properties were merged.

In 2001 there was a demolition order for the house at Gröpern 10 due to the risk of collapse . The property was extensively remodeled.
