The house registered in the Quedlinburg monument register as a merchant's house is located north of the old town of Quedlinburg on the west side of the street Gröpern . It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site .

Architecture and history

According to an inscription, the two-storey half - timbered house was built in 1686, according to other information, in 1685 by the Quedlinburg master carpenter Andreas Rühle for Bernd Winkelmann and his wife Magdalena Müller. The name ANDREAS RUHLE ZIMMERMAN refers to Rühle . On the street side, the building has a dwelling with an inserted cargo hatch . The parapet of the upper floor is decorated with diamond crosses . There are remains of carved tendrils on the door frame. The house bears an inscription on the threshold . The front door with a skylight dates from the first half of the 19th century.
