The Grünbach is an approximately 0.5 kilometer long right, eastern tributary of the Aubach . There is the legend of the little green man who jumps on the back of a hiker and makes it difficult for him to climb the valley.
A feeder to the Rothaarsteig , a long-distance hiking trail, runs through the Grünbachtal.

The drainage water from the Rabenscheider Tunnel flows into the stream below the former shaft stable after it has left a well. The Grünbach flows into the Aubach below the picturesque Aubach Bridge.
