Grünz is a cadastral community and a place in the market town of Obritzberg-Rust in Lower Austria .

history

The first documentary mention was made in 777 AD as Grunzwita , which makes the place the oldest documented place in Lower Austria after the Roman Empire : Duke Tassilo III presented it in a deed of the monastery Kremsmünster . His foundation owned a property with a slave family in Grunzwita, which meant today's Grünz and the surrounding area.
