Grębice

Grębice ( German  Johannisberg ) is a residential area in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . He belongs to the Gmina Świerzno (Schwirsen municipality) in the Kamieński powiat (Camminer district) .

Geographical location

The place of residence is located in Western Pomerania , about 4 km east of Świerzno (Schwirsen) , about 17 km east of the district town of Kamień Pomorski (Cammin i. Pom.) And about 70 km northeast of Szczecin .

history

The living space arose from an emigrant farm in the village of Kahlen : In 1848, the farmer Martin Buntrock moved his farm from the village to a new location east of the village. With 533 acres of land, the property was larger than an ordinary farm. He named his court "Johannesberg", which was approved by the government in 1851 . Later the spelling "Johannisberg" became common. Around 1870 there were 36 inhabitants in Johannisberg, in 1910 there were 52 inhabitants.

Until 1945 Johannisberg formed a residential area of ​​the rural community Kahlen and belonged with this to the district of Cammin i. Pom. the Prussian province of Pomerania .
