The Graf Hardenberg Group is a car trading company operating in southwest Germany. The parent company is Günther Graf von Hardenberg GmbH & Co KG, based in Singen . The group of companies sells vehicles from various manufacturers at 15 locations. It is one of the largest automotive trading groups in Germany and is part of the foundation capital of the Günther Graf von Hardenberg Foundation.

history

After the Second World War , racing driver Günther Graf von Hardenberg founded the “Donau” car dealership in Donaueschingen and took over the sale of Volkswagen in southern Germany. By participating in the Gramling car dealership founded in 1926 at the beginning of the 1950s, additional locations in the Karlsruhe area and in the Lake Constance region were added in the years that followed. At that time, the von Hardenberg family had private contacts with Ferry Porsche as well as with his company. After Günther Graf von Hardenberg's death on January 19, 1985, the company was transferred to a family foundation and the founder's employee-oriented management style was defined in the foundation's purpose.

In 1990 the first "car mile" was created in Offenburg. This was the first time that all brands of the then Volkswagen group were represented at one location. The Graf Hardenberg Group has grown steadily through strategic mergers, such as in 1998 with the then 50-year-old car dealership Eberhardt in Karlsruhe and with the Gohm dealership on Lake Constance, whose roots go back to 1906, as well as acquisitions.

The Graf Hardenberg Group is an automobile trading company and operates 30 car dealerships at 15 locations in Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate, in which vehicles from the brands Volkswagen , Audi , Škoda , Seat , Cupra , Porsche , Ford and Harley-Davidson are sold . The group of companies is 69.6% owned by the Günther Graf von Hardenberg Foundation and was the 19th largest German vehicle dealer in 2017 with 25,000 vehicles sold.

The Group's car dealerships are mainly located in the Lake Constance region (formerly Gohm car dealership) and in North Baden (formerly Gramling and Eberhart car dealerships).
