Pallars county
The County of Pallars , in Catalan Comtat de Pallars , is one of the historic Catalan counties . The county capital was Sort .
Pallars lay between the Pyrenees and the Serra del Montsec mountain range and bordered the counties of Ribagorza and Urgell ; the county corresponds to today's comarcas Pallars Sobirà and Pallars Jussà .
