history
Vanuatu made its international debut in 1966. After two defeats and a win in three games, a Vanuatu national team did not enter a rugby field again until 35 years later, in 2001.
In 2003 and 2007 they tried to qualify for the Rugby Union World Cup . But they failed, also due to a lack of match practice, in the first qualifying round. The low point was the 3:97 defeat against Papua New Guinea .
