The Andorran national rugby union team represents the Pyrenees state Andorra in rugby union . The team is currently playing in Division 2B of the European Nations Cup . The team is classified as a third category national team by the International Rugby Board (IRB).
The home stadium is the Estadi Nacional .
history
Andorra played their first international match against Luxembourg on July 1, 1987 . It ended with a narrow 24:18 win.
Since 1995, the team has also regularly competed in qualifying for the Rugby Union World Cup . So far you have always failed in one of the qualifying rounds. In 1995, despite a balanced record, they were eliminated from a victory and a defeat in the European pre-qualification. In 1999 they made it to the second qualifying round, in 2003 the team failed in the first round, in 2007 they reached the third round, where they had no chance against the stronger European teams.
