The Armenian national rugby union team represents Armenia in rugby union . The team is classified as a third category national team by the International Rugby Board (IRB).
history
Armenia is the youngest member of the International Rugby Board. The national team's first international match took place on June 2, 2004 and ended with a 36-6 away win against Norway . Due to the Armenian diaspora , the team can draw on a large number of well-trained players and coaches, for example from France and Georgia . So they won the following eight international matches and remained undefeated until September 30, 2006.
Only at the European Rugby Championship in the 3rd division did the team from Switzerland and Sweden have to admit defeat.
