The Croatian national rugby union team was founded on April 1st, 1962 in the Croatian capital Zagreb , during the times of the former Yugoslavia in the associated Socialist Republic of Croatia . After Croatia's independence from the multi-ethnic state of Yugoslavia, the Croatian Rugby Federation became a member of the Fédération Internationale de Rugby Amateur Association Européenne de Rugby on June 13, 1992 . On November 12, 1992, membership in the International Rugby Board took place . The team is currently playing in Division 2A of the European Nations Cup .
