The Finnish national rugby union team represents Finland in rugby . Finland is in third place in the IRB and one of the lowest places in their world rankings . Finland has never played in a World Cup but took part in qualifications.

Finland played their first international match against Switzerland in 1982 . Switzerland won 60-0. After a 4:24 loss to Norway , the team lost consistently high in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The Finns celebrated their first victory in 1991 against Norway 18: 3.

Finland tried for the 2007 World Cup to France in qualifying , but lost against Bulgaria for a 3:42 in Helsinki and a 3:50 in Sofia from as early as the pre-qualification. As part of the qualification for the 2011 World Cup , the Finns were winless group bottom of their group in the first qualifying round. In qualifying for the 2015 World Cup , they did not get past the last group place in the first qualifying round, but they were able to win their first qualifying game. They won the group game away in Athens 13:11 against Greece .

The Finnish national rugby union team has won 10 international matches, lost 38 and drew 3: 3 against Bosnia and Herzegovina . She achieved her highest victory in 2010 with 55: 5 against Estonia , the highest defeat was suffered in 1987 with 0: 100 against Denmark in Eskilstuna , Sweden .

The team plays in Division 2D of the European Nations Cup .
