The Czech national rugby union team represents the Czech Republic in the sport of rugby union . She plays in Division 1B of the European Nations Cup and has not yet qualified for a World Cup. Czech Republic is the World Association International Rugby Board in the third strength class ( third tier divided).
The team played their first game after the division of Czechoslovakia on May 15, 1993 against Andorra and lost 3: 6. A year later they suffered the biggest defeat in young history with 8: 104 against Italy . In the 2006/08 season , the Czech Republic reached the first division of the European Nations Cup, but had to admit defeat in all ten games and immediately rose again. The team has some professionals who play in France. The best known among them is the captain Martin Jágr , who plays in the first division at RC Toulon .
