The Grainger Valley is a 19 km long and 1.5 km wide valley in the Prince Charles Mountains of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the eastern part of the Aramis Range it separates the Manning from the McLeod massif .
Aerial photographs were taken in 1956 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE). It was first visited in February 1969 by an ANARE survey team. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named the valley after geologist David J. Grainger, who participated in the 1970 exploration of the Prince Charles Mountains.
