As of the 2010 census , Grand Coulee had 988 residents, 474 households, and 246 families. The population density was 320 per km². There were 554 housing units at a mean density of 179.4 per km².
The population consisted of 76.5% white , 1.1% African-American , 14.2% Indian , 0.8% Asian , 3.5% other "races" and 3.8 % % from two or more "races" . Hispanics or Latinos of "any race" made up 8.9% of the population.
Of the 474 households, 21.9% were housed by children under the age of 18, 36.9% were run by married couples living together , 10.5% by single mothers and 4.4% by single fathers; 48.1% were non-families. 40.5% of the households were singles and 16.3% were single people over 65 years of age. The average household size was 2.06 and the average family size was 2.74 people.
The median age in the city was 47.1 years. 19.3% of the population were under 18, 6.9% between 18 and 24, 21.5% between 25 and 44, 32.2% between 45 and 64 and 20.4 65 years or older. 48.2% of the population were men and 51.8% women.

The population was 81.27% white , 1.11% African American , 12.49% American Indian , 1.34% Asian , 2.79% other "races" and 1% two or more "races" . Hispanics or Latinos of "any race" made up 4.91% of the population.
Of the 410 households, 25.6% had children under the age of 18, 44.1% were run by married couples living together, and 12.2% by single mothers; 39.8% were non-families. 35.1% of the households were singles and 15.6% were single persons over 65 years of age. The average household size was 2.13 and the average family size was 2.71 people.
The median age in the city was 45 years. 22.5% of the population were under 18, 6.6% between 18 and 24, 20.4% between 25 and 44, 26.9% between 45 and 64 and 23.6 65 years or older. There were 92.5 men for every 100 women, and 80.5 men for every 100 women over the age of 18.
