The grassy Vltava (Czech Řasnice , also Travnatá Vltava ) is a right tributary of the warm Vltava in the Czech Republic .

course

The Řasnice rises at the southwestern foot of the Žďárecká hora ( Parmberg , 1064 m nm) in the Bohemian Forest . Its source is just under two kilometers north of Hinterfirmiansreut am Langruck (1011 m nm) near the border with Bavaria. Its upper course, formerly called Kesselbach , leads in a south-easterly, later southerly direction at the eastern foot of the Geissberg (1018 m) and the Pomezní stráň (968 m nm) past the desert areas Josefov ( Josefstal ) and Točná ( Fahrenhaus ) to Dolní Světlé Hory ( Unterlichtbuchet ). The natural monument "Kotlina Valné" extends to the right of the erstrecktasnice in the extinct village up to the border. There the Řasnice again takes a south-easterly direction and flows in a shallow valley between the Homole ( Farfleck , 1056 m nm), the Skalnatý hřbet ( Gaisberg , 1072 m nm), the Lískový vrch (1026 m nm), the Obecní vrch (937 m nm) as well as the Střední kopec ( Mitterscheibling , 920 m nm), the Pomezný ( Scheiblingsberg , 1002 m nm), the Silnická hora (998 m nm) and the Silnický vršek ( country road , 920 m nm) on the Horní Světlé Hory ( Oberlichtbuchet ), Gastberg, Silnice ( country roads ) and U slepého Matěje ( Blindehiesl ) and is then bridged by the state road I / 4 between Strážný and Philippsreut . North of Schnellenzipf, the Řasnice forms the border between Germany and the Czech Republic over a length of half a kilometer between the confluences of the Grenzbach and Harlandbach brooks. At the Dolní Cazov ( Unterzassau ) desert , the Řasnice flows back into Bohemian territory and heads north. The brook then meanders in numerous meanders east of the Splavské rašeliniště natural monument past the Splavský mlýn ( dam mill ) to Hliniště ( Leimsgrub ) through a swampy valley. The villages of Řasnice ( Pumperle ), Mlýn Řasnice ( Pumperler Mill ) and Vlčí Jámy ( Wolfsgrub ) lie along the lower reaches of the Řasnice . Opposite Lenora , the Řasnice finally flows into the Warm Vltava after 19.2 kilometers. It has a catchment area of 89.4 km².
