Greg Gutfeld (born September 12, 1964 ) is an American journalist , television presenter and satirist.

Gutfeld grew up in San Mateo , California . After attending Junípero Serra High School , he studied at the University of California, Berkeley , which he left in 1987 with a degree in English. He then did an internship with The American Spectator magazine . He got his first regular job as an editor for the magazine Prevention .

In 1995 Gutfeld joined the editorial team of Men's Health magazine, where he became editor-in-chief in 1999 until he was replaced by David Zinczenko in 2000. In the same year he was appointed editor-in-chief of the Stuff magazine , whose circulation rose from 750,000 to 1.2 million under his aegis. From 2004 to 2006, Gutfeld served as editor-in-chief of Maxim magazine in the UK.

In 2007 Gutfeld was discontinued by the news channel Fox News , for which he has presented the nightly entertainment format Red Eye w / Greg Gutfeld since February 5, 2007 . The program, which is broadcast on working days from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. east coast time, offers a mixture of humorous monologues by the host on current events as well as informal discussions about daily events with a group of changing guests, with the topics of politics, society and the entertainment industry dominating.

Since July 11, 2011, Gutfeld has also been one of the permanent co-moderators of the political panel discussion The Five , which Fox News airs daily at 5 p.m. East Coast time. This program, which was included in the program instead of the controversial TV show by radio talker Glenn Beck , is structured as a panel in which five co-presenters with different political points of view discuss current events from the fields of politics and society in a round table.

Gutfeld, who describes himself as libertarian , is married and lives in New York City.
