Gregory David Weisman (born September 28, 1963 in Woodland Hills , California ) is an American writer of comics and animated series . He was best known for the series Gargoyles from 1994, which he created .

Life

Weisman grew up in California with his parents and younger siblings. At school he was particularly enthusiastic about history. After graduating, he went to New York City , but soon returned to California, more precisely to Los Angeles , and began working on the series "Captain Atom" at DC Comics .

In 1991 he was hired by Disney and began working on series such as DuckTales and Bonkers . Three years later he directed the production of the Gargoyles series . After he had worked significantly on the first 66 episodes, his contract was not renewed, so that he left the series and the Disney group in 1996.

Weisman continued to work on various series and lives in Los Angeles with his wife Beth and children Ben and Erin.
