Gregg Mayles

Gregg Mayles (* 1971 in Coalville , Leicestershire , England , full name Gregory Ashley Mayles ) is an English video game designer and creative director of the video game manufacturer Rare . He is the brother of video game designer Steve Mayles .

Career

Mayles has worked for the British video game manufacturer Rare since 1990 . His career began with the SNES game Donkey Kong Country, in which Mayles was used in particular in the game design and the design of the character Diddy Kong . Mayles worked as a producer on its successor, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest . Mayles was also instrumental in the production of the Banjo Kazooie series .

In 2007 he took over Rare from Tim and Chris Stamper and has since worked there alongside Mark Betteridge as creative director.
