Gregor Ebner (born June 24, 1892 in Ichenhausen / Bavaria ; † March 22, 1974 in Wolfratshausen ) was a general practitioner from Kirchseeon near Munich , who was the medical director of all homes of Lebensborn eV during the Nazi era .

Life

Ebner was born as the son of Gregor Ebner, cafetier in Ichenhausen and his wife Marie, née. Maurer born in Ichenhausen. From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War as a field medical officer. He then spent a few months with the Epp Freikorps . After completing his medical studies and doctorate in June 1920, he established himself as a general practitioner in Kirchseeon. In 1930 Ebner became a member of the NSDAP ( membership number 340.925) and immediately local group leader and deputy district leader . In 1931 he joined the General SS (SS No. 13,966). Ebner had known Heinrich Himmler since 1930 and was his family doctor for several years.

In mid-1937 Ebner gave up his private practice and joined Lebensborn eV full-time. Until the end of the war he remained in the position of medical director of all of the homes operated by Lebensborn . In addition, he was chairman of the disciplinary court of the National Socialist Medical Association from 1938. Since 1939 he took the rank of SS-Oberführer .

On March 10, 1948, Ebner was found guilty of membership in the SS in Nuremberg in the Race and Settlement Main Office trial and sentenced to two years and eight months in prison. The sentence was deemed to have been served. Ebner then worked as a general practitioner in Kirchseeon and Wolfratshausen .
