Gregorio Antonio Maria Salviati
Gregorio Antonio Maria Salviati (born December 12, 1727 in Rome ; † August 5, 1794 , ibid) was a cardinal of the Roman Church .
Life
From 1760 to 1766 as vice delegate in Avignon, he was general auditor of the Apostolic Chamber . On June 23, 1777 Pope Pius VI. him cardinal and appointed him on July 28, 1777 cardinal deacon of the titled deaconry Santa Maria della Scala . On 27 August 1777 Pope freed him from the obligation to receive orders so that it no orders received. From September 27, 1780 to Cardinal Deacon of Santa Maria in Cosmedin , he became Cardinal Deacon of Santa Maria in Via Lata on November 29, 1790 . Salviati was also a cardinal protodeacon .
He was the last male representative of the important Florentine noble family Salviati , whose fortune passed to that family through his sister Anna Maria, wife of Marcantonio IV Borghese (1730-1800).
