Greta Berlin

Greta K. Berlin (born April 6, 1941 in Detroit , Michigan ) works in the media communications industry and is an anti-Israel , pro-Palestinian activist. She has gained international attention as a spokeswoman for the Free Gaza Movement ( FGM ), which she co-founded.

biography

Berlin studied in Illinois , where she received a BA in Rhetoric and English from MacMurray College and an MA in Theater and Mass Communication from the University of Illinois . She also took part in several engineering courses and then taught engineers herself.

Political activities

Berlin belongs to the “Los Angeles Chapter” of Women in Black, who, by their own account, “essentially represent the one-state solution , demand the right to return and that there will be no peace in the Middle East until the Palestinians people - and civil rights are granted. ”In 2003 she began to work for the ISM ( International Solidarity Movement ) in the West Bank, she worked in the media office in Beit Sahour and lived in Jenin . She returned to the West Bank in 2005 and 2007 . In 2006 she co-founded the Free Gaza Movement and was involved as the main spokeswoman for the May 31, 2010 flotilla .

She is the co-author and co-editor of the book Freedom Sailors, How We Succeeded in Breaking Israel's Illegal Siege on Gaza in Spite of Ourselves.

Controversy

Berlin got into the discussion when she a controversial post in their Facebook profile hired and those under the Twitter profile published by the Free Gaza Movement: "Zionists operated the concentration camps and helped in the murder of millions of innocent Jews." Contained a link to The Post a video recording of a speech by conspiracy theorist Eustace Mullins . He admires Hitler and claims that the Jews were responsible for the Holocaust.

Regarding the Islamist massacre of the satirists of the Charlie Hebdo newspaper , she publicly claimed that it was a false flag operation by the Israeli foreign intelligence service Mossad , and referred to the allegedly imminent diplomatic recognition of the state of Palestine by France.
