Grietje staffelt (* 16th July 1975 as Grietje Bettin in Eckernförde ) is a former German politician ( Alliance 90 / The Greens ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Eutin in 1995 , Grietje Staffelt completed a degree in pedagogy at the University of Flensburg , which she completed in 2000 as a qualified pedagogue. She also completed training as a systemic coach at artop, an institute at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Since leaving the Bundestag, she has been self-employed, primarily in the area of ​​executive coaching and strategic advice to companies and associations. From March 2015 to December 2017 she worked as a senior consultant at Ketchum Pleon .

She has a daughter, is married to the former member of the Bundestag Ditmar Staffelt (SPD) and adopted his last name in April 2008.

Political party

Even as a student, Grietje Staffelt was elected to the state board of the Green-Alternative Youth (GAJ) in Schleswig-Holstein in 1994, to which she was a member until 2001. During this time she was regional manager of the GAJ from 1997 to 2002 and from 1999 to 2000 a member of the regional board of the Greens.

In 1995 she became a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen. From 2005 to 2009 she was a member of the Green Party Council in Schleswig-Holstein.

MPs

On April 3, 2000, she entered the Bundestag as a replacement for the resigned MP Klaus Müller . Here she was media policy spokeswoman since 2000 and from 2002 to 2005 also educational policy spokeswoman for the Bundestag parliamentary group Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen. From 2002 to 2005 she was chair of the UA New Media. Since 2005 she has been the deputy political coordinator of the parliamentary group V Knowledge & Generations .

At the end of the 16th legislative period, she left the Bundestag in 2009 after the birth of her daughter.

Grietje Staffelt has always entered the Bundestag via the Schleswig-Holstein state list. She was twice the top candidate of the Greens Schleswig-Holstein and also ran for a direct mandate for the Bundestag in constituency 1 Flensburg - Schleswig .
