history
Ketchum Pleon was created in January 2010 from the merger of the agencies Ketchum and Pleon in Germany.
Pleon emerged in 2005 from the merger of ECC Kohtes Klewes and the European part of the global PR network Brodeur, which specializes in technology companies .
ECC Kohtes Klewes (formerly Kohtes & Klewes) was founded in Germany in 1988 and has developed into the largest PR agency in the German-speaking area within almost 20 years .
Ketchum Inc. was founded in the USA in 1923 and came to Germany in 1977.

Ketchum Pleon is part of the DAS Group of Companies and BBDO Germany, both of which are part of the Omnicom Group .
As part of the global Ketchum network, the company is represented in more than 70 countries on six continents.
Ketchum Pleon employs around 300 people in Germany who are proficient in the entire range of corporate and marketing communication. More than 200 customers are advised at the Berlin , Bonn , Dresden , Düsseldorf , Frankfurt am Main , Munich and Stuttgart locations , including numerous companies that are listed in the DAX or Euro Stoxx , as well as ministries and non-profit organizations in the fields Brand, Campaigning, Change, Transformation, Crisis, CSR, Digital, Public Affairs, Sales and in the special segment Healthcare.

The German PR journal named Ketchum Pleon the most creative PR agency in Germany in 2016 and 2017.
In 2017, Ketchum Inc. was also the most successful PR agency at the Cannes Festival to date with 26 Cannes Lions .
The international industry service The Holmes Report named the predecessor agency Pleon 2005 "German PR Agency of the Year" and later named Ketchum Europe 2013 "EMEA Consultancy of the Year".
In 2012, Ketchum was named "European Agency of the Year" at the European Excellence Awards 2012.
In Europe, Ketchum is nominated in 11 categories of the EMEA SABER Awards 2018, the winners of which will be announced on May 23 in Amsterdam. Ketchum is also shortlisted for "Creative Consultancy of the Year" and "Benelux Consultancy of the Year".
