Family and education

Griffith Pritchard Griffith, who was born in the city ​​of Troy in the US state of New York , was the son of John Morris Griffith and his wife Catalina Wendell Knickerbocker Griffith, received his education at the local public schools.

Griffith Pritchard Griffith married in 1866 the native of Cincinnati Charlotte Lewis Ellis (1843-1884). The marriage resulted in five daughters Kate Lea, Mary Ellis, Alice, Florence and Charlotte. After the death of his first wife, he married Arabella Pollock for the second time. Griffith Pritchard Griffith died in Cincinnati in March 1933 at the age of 92. Griffith Pritchard Griffith joined the Merchants and Mechanics' bank in his hometown Troy in 1856 as an apprentice banker, and in 1858 he was employed by the Albany Clearing House in Albany , Georgia .
