The Grand Prix of Luxembourg 1949 , also Findel , took place on May 26, 1949 at Findel Airport near Luxembourg . The race was not part of any racing series.

The race

Little is known about the Grand Prix of Luxembourg. The race was given importance by Scuderia Ferrari factory cars . It was the only Scuderia victory that year in a sports car race, with the exception of Clemente Biondetti's success in the Mille Miglia . Luigi Villoresi won the race ahead of the Belgian André Pilette and the Luxembourg Honoré Wagner .
