The 1950 Grand Prix of Luxembourg , also known as the GP de Luxembourg , took place on May 18 at Findel Airport near Luxembourg . The race was not part of any racing series.

The race

As in the previous year , a factory Ferrari won the Grand Prix of Luxembourg in 1950 . After the success of Luigi Villoresi in 1949, Alberto Ascari won this sports car race in 1950 . Behind Ascari and Villoresi, the Belgian Jacques Swaters finished third in the overall standings.
