Marcel Balsa (born January 1, 1909 in St. Frion , Creuse ; † August 11, 1984 Maisons-Alfort ) was a French racing driver .
Career
The Frenchman Marcel Balsa began his racing career after the Second World War on one (of 40) used Bugatti T51s , built in 1931, and was thus successful in national French races. He only started in one race for the automobile world championship . At the 1952 German Grand Prix at the Nürburgring , he entered the race with a self-built Formula 2 with a BMW engine, but retired on lap seven. The victory went to Alberto Ascari in the Ferrari 500 . Balsa won a national formula race in Montlhéry in 1953 and then retired from racing.
