The Rottach is a left tributary of the Isar in Upper Bavaria .
The Rottach rises in the eastern part of a U-shaped valley, in the middle of which there is a ridge up to 666 m with the hamlet of Rothenrain. The valley is a bog, which gives the Rottach a brown color. The Rottach flows past the Rothmühle in the western part of the valley, where water is diverted for the Mühlbach and finally flows into the Isar. There the Rottach is also called Großer Rothbach , in the upper reaches of Rothenrain Kleiner Rothbach.
In some areas, the Rottach represents the border between the municipality of Wackersberg and the municipalities of Bad Heilbrunn and Königsdorf .
